Two suspects have been arrested for the theft of two Park and Recreation trucks and snowplows owned by the City of Cranston, which had been stolen from the Cranston Stadium over Christmas weekend in 2015.
Jason R. Lehman, age 42, of 795 Sandy Lane, Warwick, and John H. Lyons, age 48, of 33 Candace Street, Providence, were arraigned on November 17 on the following criminal charges: larceny over $500 (two counts); destruction of public property and conspiracy to commit the crime of larceny. On December 27, 2015, the Providence Police Department located two Cranston city trucks that had been abandoned in Providence. An investigation confirmed the trucks were in fact stolen. Prior to the theft, both trucks had been equipped with snowplows and were being stored in a fenced-in area at Cranston Stadium on Flint Avenue. The plows have not been found, and the investigation remains ongoing. If anyone has further information regarding this case, including the current location of the snowplows, contact Detective David Boucher or Detective Robert Lindsay at the Cranston Police Department at telephone number (401) 942-2211.
