A suspect is being sought in an armed robbery that occurred at the 7-11 on Reservoir Avenue in Cranston earlier this week.

According to police, the suspect entered the store at midnight on Sept. 10, brandished a gray/black semiautomatic handgun and demanded cash from the clerk. The suspect is said to have fled the store heading south toward Burnside Street with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as male, possible Asian, between 20 and 25 years of age, standing approximately 5 feet, 5 inches tall with a medium build. He wore a blue Southpole “Authentic 21” hooded sweatshirt with a pair of white stripes on each arm, as well as blue jeans, blue sneakers or shoes and a bandana over his face. It is unclear whether a vehicle was involved.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity or location is asked to contact Cranston police at 401-942-2211, ext. 5142. Detectives Bob Lindsay and Don Bucci are investigating.
