It was produced by Connor Buonaccorsi, a 10th grade student from LaSalle Academy. His aunt is Carla Mulhern, who is Student of the Year Campaign Manager for LLS. The emcee for the evening was Amy Ponce from Lite Rock 105.

The Student of the Year candidates are Kailey Caldwell, Cameron Doherty, Hailey Hendics, Alison Hornung, Grace Duffy, Meghan Kierta, Mia Marcello, Evan McCarthy and Wailynn Sweeney. The Student of the Year Award is presented to the top fundraiser.

A Night of Broadway helped raise funds for all nine candidates. Performers were Connor Buonaccorsi, a 10th-grade student from LaSalle Academy; Bryn Martin, a homeschooled junior from North Kingstown; Cooper Cardone, a sophomore at North Kingstown High School; Abby McMahon, a senior from Warwick; Timothy Fine, a junior at the Met School; Lily McMahon, a student from Warwick who attends St. Rose of Lima School; Brian Roque, a freshman at Emerson College; and Victoria Saucy, a sophomore at Cranston High School West.
