Albert H. Bourassa, age 81, of Warwick, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. He joined his wife of 50 years, the late Blanche J. (Houle) Bourassa.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Arthur and Alma (Flamand) Bourassa, he lived in Warwick since 1976. Albert was a licensed barber employed at Speedway Barbers, and fine-tuned his passion on many family members and friends throughout the years. He owned A.B. & R. Jewelry in the early 1970’s. He worked at several companies providing delivery and custodial work: Citizens Bank, Don-Lin Jewelry and Professional Salon Services. His devotion to his family, quick wit, drive to succeed, tender heart, and a smile that would light any room, will be missed by all that loved him.

Albert leaves his devoted daughter, Cheryl A. Bourassa Craig and her husband, James Craig, of Warwick; two sisters, Alice Smith and Doris McConnell, also of Warwick; a sister-in-law, Mary Bourassa of Richmond; his companion, Mary Lavimodiere; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. He was the loving Pepere to Benjamin Craig and his meal companion Chewy. He will be greatly missed by his step-grandsons, James and Daniel Craig. Albert was predeceased by his brothers: Arthur Bourassa, Emile “Leo” Bourassa, and William “Bill” Bourassa; his twin brother, Robert O. Bourassa, who passed away on October 12; and his sister, Rita Russell.

Please join Albert’s family in a celebration of Albert’s life on Friday, October 21, at 9 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 618 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick.
