The ‘Bolts earned a three-seed in the Division II tournament, defeating Cumberland in the first round, before falling to Moses Brown in the quarterfinals.
The team’s point total for the season was good enough to earn them the 12-seed in the unprecedented open state tournament.
In a bracket show conducted at the Warwick Mall on Monday, it was announced that East was to play fifth-seeded La Salle at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday night at North Kingstown High School.
The result of the game was unavailable at press time.
