The CLCF 9-year-old all-star team was down last week, but it fought all the way back, defeating Apponaug twice in two days to win the state title. CLCF lost its second game of the tournament to the host Apponaug team, yet came back out of the loser’s bracket to set up a rematch. After defeating Apponaug last Tuesday, CLCF won Wednesday 6-1 to capture the championship. By virtue of its title, CLCF will now play in the New England Regional in Walpole, N.H., scheduled to begin Aug. 3. Team members are: Thomas Cabana, Marcus Chung, Joe Domenico, Aidan Hay, Yeusya Jimenez, Luciano Leone, Max Marchetti, Matthew Moretti, Michael Paquette, Nathan Quero, Michael Smith and Ethan White.
