The 2016 CVS Health Charity Classic Benefit Concert is adding “American Idol” season 9 winner Lee DeWyze to the ticket. DeWyze will open up for the seven-time GRAMMY award-winning group Lady Antebellum at the Tuesday, June 28 concert at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in downtown Providence.

Successful “Idol” alum DeWyze – one of the show’s fan favorites – was among a select group of former champions who made an appearance on the April “American Idol” series finale. Singer-songwriter DeWyze has a strong following and released a new album to positive reviews earlier this year. He is also known for his “Blackbird Song” which appeared in an episode of “The Walking Dead.”

The newly created CVS Health Charity Classic Benefit Concert – which extends the Charity Classics’ fundraising efforts - will be held on Tuesday, June 28 at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center and will be open to the public. Tickets are now on sale, with a portion of ticket sale proceeds going to support the mission of the Charity Classic to raise funds for non-profits across New England. Concert ticket prices range from $37.50-$67.50 (does not include service and facility fees) and are available at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center Box Office, ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster outlets, or charge by phone at 1-800-745-3000.

The CVS Health Charity Classic is Rhode Island’s largest charitable event series and hosts some of the best PGA Tour, LPGA Tour and PGA Tour Champions professionals in the world. Since its inception in 1999, the CVS Health Charity Classic has driven more than $19 million to charities around the region, providing vital funding for a variety of critical programs serving children, families and people in transition throughout Southern New England. For more information, visit cvshealthcharityclassic.com.
