WELCOME FALCONS: On Aug. 20, Cranston High School West pulled out all the stops, welcoming the new freshman Falcons. The Falcon mascot himself was greeting the guests as they arrived on campus, the band was playing and the Falconettes and Westernettes lined the walkway to the auditorium where the event began. Principal Tom Barbieri and many of his faculty and staff as well as members of the parent board were on hand for the opening remarks and later for the tours of the school. A hot dog roast took place in the courtyard, and freshman mentors wearing red “Ask Me” T-shirts were available to answer any questions the new students and their parents had.

WESTERN HILLS WELCOME: Faculty, staff and administration were on hand on Aug. 19 as Western Hills Middle School welcomed its newest crop of seventh-graders and new students to the school. A back to school event was held, which included a pizza party, a meet and greet with Principal Anthony Corrente and other members of the school administration and staff and tours of the building.
