Dave's Marketplace is opening their tenth store on Pontiac Avenue in the former Seabra/Almac's/Tony's pizza building. According to Dave's marketing communications manager Susan Budlong, they are very excited to open this store.
“We are so grateful for all the enthusiasm and excitement this store has generated. We look forward to becoming a part of the community,” said Budlong.
The construction is on track, and the new store is slated to open between mid-March and April.
“We cannot give an exact date, because nothing is ever guaranteed. But, I can promise, it will open before summer,” said Budlong.
The new store will have between 100-120 new positions, as well as several management positions coming from other stores.
“We hire from within and that is very important to us,” said Budlong. “Our last store we opened in Coventry in 2011. That is a long time between new stores. We have lots of employees looking for new opportunities and the chance to move up in the organization. We have great employees and want them to reach their potential and be happy at work,” she said.
She also stated that Dave's Marketplace is eager to become part of the community as they do in all the other communities they are located. The new store will be located at 550 Pontiac Avenue.
