Edward Michael Laborio, of Cranston, RI and Pompano Beach, Florida died sleeping peacefully at his home on June 1, 2015 at the age of 36. Eddie's passing was the result of Diabetic Complications (DKA) related to his Type 1 Diabetes condition.

Edward was born in Providence and grew up in Cranston. He graduated from Cranston West High School in 1997. He was a member of the school's Baseball and Basketball teams. He attended Keene State College in Keene, New Hampshire and he received his B.A. degree. Eddie also played NCAA baseball for Keene State College and was a pitcher on the team for three years. Eddie loved and participated in many different sports. He was a huge fan and loyal dedicated supporter of both the Boston Celtics and Boston Red Sox. Ed also developed a true love for the game of golf and became an avid player, which resulted in Ed having a single digit low handicap. Eddie had a true love for life. Always positive minded, big-hearted and truly loyal to his family and friends. Eddie lit up every room he entered. His signature smile and hearty laugh were the staples of his great personality and was loved by those who knew him.

Edward was the founder, Chairman and CEO of ECG Investments Inc. He was also, Chairman and CEO of the company's three separate subsidiaries. His company traded publicly on the New York Stock Exchange and it operated with office locations in Massachusetts, Ohio, New York, Florida and Texas. Eddie also had ownership in Rib World, a meat production company located in Tipperary, Ireland. Ed was also the founder and owner of Redemption Recovery LLC a full rehabilitation, recovery and re-development health service facility. Eddie also, founded and owned a Commercial credit, collection control services company, a Dry Cleaners Service and a Land Irrigation Company. Following his years in College, Ed began his working career at Merrill Lynch in Providence. He then went on to work for Fleet National Bank in Providence, now known as Bank America where he was Vice President in the Institutional small business merchants department. Ed followed Fleet Bank by moving on to become the Vice President of the Chicago Investment Group LLC located in Boston, MA.

Eddie was also a well-known and highly respected Philanthropist in Boston and its surrounding areas. His generosity and dedication to the less privileged was bestowed upon many people. He was particularly supportive of the homeless and to their shelters. Ed often personally provided housing and income to less fortunate individuals in an effort to hopefully move them on to a better way of life. He truly believed in lending a helping hand to the poor and to those who were victims of "bad luck". Eddie worked with the shelters in Boston to provide job placement and employment for many poor and homeless individuals within Ed's companies. There will never be a day that goes by Eddie that your family will not Love , miss and ache for you. We love you Eddie.

Eddie was the beloved son of Edward Laborio, the late Dorothy Laborio; and the beloved brother of Michelle Laborio Kinlaw. Eddie was loved and cherished by his aunt Barbara Laborio and his brother-in-law Will Kinlaw. Eddie was the loving uncle to Brayden and Edward Kinlaw. Eddie was also the loving fiancee to Patricia Ibrahim. He also, leaves the family's loving friend Myrna Golub.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, July 11, at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston, RI. Burial will follow at the Saint Ann's Cemetery, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston, RI. Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
