The Cranston Police Department recently announced that K-9 Bosco, who served the city from April 2008 until his July 2015 retirement, was to be laid to rest on Oct. 12. He was to receive an escort to Final Gift Cremations on Daniels Way, with a viewing for family and friends to follow. Bosco was the loyal partner of Office Gregg Bruno, and he is credited with touching thousands of lives through visits to Cranston schools and civic functions. Above, during a December 2015 ceremony, Maj. Robert Quirk presents a special gift to Bruno and Bosco.
