On May 29, more than 300 homeless individuals were served by a joint effort of the Rhode Island Dream Center along with Ed Brady, Lupe Aguilar, and friends. The Hope for the Homeless BBQ is held several times a year to support the state’s homeless population. The menu included pizza donated by Depetrillo’s, pasta salad donated by Say Cheese, salad donated by Adeline’s, corn on the cob donated by The Thirsty Beaver), desserts donated by LaSalle Bakery, bread donated by Milk Money, burgers and hot dogs, fruit salad, chips, soda, and water. Also contributing with a cash donation was Scotty Boyle. The MAE Organization distributed clothing and toiletries to those in need during the event. Entertainment was provided by Elly and the Bear.
