NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

A Public Hearing will be heard before the Safety Services & Licenses Committee on Monday, May 4, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. Cranston Council Chambers, City Hall, 869 Park Avenue, City Hall, Cranston, R.I. pursuant to Section 3.12 of the Charter on the following proposed Ordinance.

Copies of all proposed Ordinances are available for public review at the City Clerk’s Office, Cranston Central Library and on the City website: cranstonri.com under calendar by clicking the Committee meeting date.

“Individuals requesting interpreter services for the deaf or hard of hearing must notify the City Clerk’s Office at 461-1000 ext. 3197 seventy-two (72) hours in advance of the hearing date.”

PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO. 4-15-03 IN AMENDMENT OF TITLE 5.64, OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CRANSTON, 2005, ENTITLED “BUSINESS LICENSES AND REGULATIONS” (Public Entertainment license fee 2015)

It is ordained by the City Council of the City of Cranston as follows:

Section 1.Title 5.64 entitled “Theatrical Performances, Shows and Exhibitions.” is hereby amended by adding the following:

5.64.065 Permit Applicaton and Renewal fee

A separate fee shall be paid at the time of filing of each application for a permit. The annual fee shall be [set by resolution of the City Council] based on capacity as determined by the Cranston Fire Department:

All Class B alcoholic licensed establishments and non alcoholic establishments:

1 – 99No fee

100 and over$300.00

All Class J licensed

establishment$500.00

An entertainment license may be issued on a daily basis at a fee of fifteen dollars ($15.00) per diem.

Section 2: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its final adoption.
