Shannon L. Pichette of Concord, N.H. and Edward C. Miller Jr. of Cranston have announced their engagement.

The future bride is the daughter of Robert and Karol Pichette of Warwick. She is a graduate of Pilgrim High School, Warwick, and Bryant University. She is an events/program coordinator in New Hampshire.

The future groom is the son of Edward Miller Sr. of Warwick. He is a graduate of Pilgrim High School. He is a loss prevention officer at Kmart, Cranston.

Edward and Shannon have been friends since high school. They lost connection for many years and recently became reacquainted through Facebook. Edward proposed to Shannon on March 24 in Kissimmee, Fla. on a vacation. They are planning a spring 2013 wedding.
