Eleven marching bands participated in the 2014 Cranston High School East Thunderbolt Invitational marching band competition on Oct. 18 at Cranston Stadium. Cranston High School West also performed an exhibition prior to intermission. The stands were full of families and friends from across New England. Participating bands from Massachusetts were Bishop Feehan High School, Somerset-Berkley Regional High School, Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School, King Philip Regional High School, Dartmouth High School and Blackstone-Millville Regional High School, while bands from Connecticut were Killingly High School and East Lyme High School. In addition to Cranston East and West, Portsmouth High School represented Rhode Island.
