Tot Park at Florida Ave. Playground renovated

Posted

Mayor Allan Fung, Ward 5 Councilman Christopher Paplauskas and Parks and Recreation Director Tony Liberatore last week took part in the ceremonial opening of the newly renovated Tot Park at the Florida Avenue Playground. The park was recently renovated at a cost of approximately $38,400 from an existing recreation bond. It is the second of three city playgrounds being renovated this year. “Our kids will have a great new playground in their neighborhood, where they can enjoy these new facilities with their parents and friends in a safe environment. We are committed to investing in these facilities thus, improving recreational opportunities for our kids,” Fung said. “I am proud to represent the residents of the fifth ward as we open up this new Tot Park for our children. I have young kids and I know that they will enjoy this new facility along with our neighbors and their friends,” Paplauskas said. (Herald photos)
