To the Editor:
The pathetic fanaticism of N.E. Pats supporters in the form of their undying fealty to their hero, Tom Brady, in the face of his obvious implication in the recent Patriots cheating scandal is reminiscent of the mother of convicted former Pats player, Aaron Hernandez. Throughout his trial on the murder of Odin Lloyd, her emotional protestations that her son could not have killed Mr. Lloyd were apparent to all. The 12-member jury, however, did not agree.
First, there was Spygate. Then came Deflategate. Is there another shoe ready to drop in Foxborough?

I do see a technical rather than an ethical problem here. Is it really practical to standardize the air pressure of a professional football in every single game of the NFL and all during the games despite incremental or dramatic changes in atmospheric pressure ? Brady could win FAIR just an hour before a forecast tornado. But this great quarterback needs no such luck. FAIR PLAY for Tom !
