There is nothing better than sharing your life with a dog. Dogs truly are man’s best friend.

Zeke was brought to the Cranston Animal Shelter after being found tied to a pole. Above him, a sign reads “free dog.” Zeke is a very good boy. Every day, one of his favorite things to do is take the shelter staff and volunteers for a walk. Sometimes Zeke gets to spend the day in the shelter office. He loves this because someone is always petting him and giving him attention. Zeke does not show well in his cage, so if you want to see his true personality ask someone to take him out. Zeke is ready for his home and loving family to come soon.

The adoption fee for Zeke is $180. This fee must be paid with a check or money order and includes all initial vaccinations, heartworm testing, and spaying/neutering. To insure we adopt all of our residents into responsible homes, we require adopters to provide proof of home ownership or a notarized letter of permission from their landlord.

Please know that before an animal can be taken from his/her kennel, you must fill out our adoption application. These applications are completely non-binding and allow us to learn more about our potential adopters as well as shielding our residents from people who use the shelter as a petting zoo. The staff at the Cranston Animal Shelter is very dedicated to matching all of our animals to the right homes.

The Cranston Animal Shelter is located on 920 Phenix Ave. and can be reached at 464-8700. The shelter is open from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
