To the Editor:
Deaths by starvation, from cholera, by drones and bombs, and now the deaths by bombing of children on a school bus. This is reality in Yemen. And I am the only candidate for the U.S. Senate from Rhode Island who has objected to this situation for years, in direct confrontation with Sheldon Whitehouse since March of this year.
A report from Eyewitness News in Providence of March 20, 2018 quotes Whitehouse as saying in regard to a Senate vote on U.S withdrawal from Yemen, "I don't see how precipitous withdrawal of the limited support the U.S. military provides would make things better in achieving our humanitarian or strategic aims." It also quotes Bob Flanders as saying that he would have voted in the same way.
If you are horrified by what is going on in Yemen, you do have a choice of someone, Pat Fontes for U.S. Senate, who will work to end U.S. involvement there and in the many other countries where you didn’t even know we were at war.
Patricia J. Fontes
Hopkinton

Patricia, most RI'nders couldn't find Yemen on a map. You need to connect with RI issues. I don't know who is advising you but fire him.
