CONGRATULATIONS PETE: In this 2017 file photo, Pete Fontaine was presented with a special commendation by Town Councilman Robert Civetti. He was recognized for doing a “great job for the Town of Johnston and the athletes of the town at all levels,” he was honored for his coverage of events of all kinds. That same year, Fontaine was inducted into the Johnston High School Hall of Fame.

Organized by The Friends of Pawtuxet Village and the Pawtuxet Village Merchant Association, the 7th Annual Taste of Pawtuxet Village was held on Sept. 25 at the Imperial Room. The evening event featured food samplings, wine and music. Participating

A taste of the village

RAFFLES: Along with great food and friends, participants at the 7th Annual A Taste of Pawtuxet Village enjoyed approximately 30 raffles. Pulling out winning tickets were Lil Mangan and Pam Sheridan and handed them to the Chair of Friends of Pawtuxet Village, Marta Martinez who announced the winners.

Organized by The Friends of Pawtuxet Village and the Pawtuxet Village Merchant Association, the 7th Annual Taste of Pawtuxet Village was held on Sept. 25 at the Imperial Room. The evening event featured food samplings, wine and music.

Participating restaurants included O’Rourke’s, Fellini Pizza, Cork and Brew & Spirits Too, Little Falls Café, Schastea, Vatsana Thai & Sushi, Edgewood Cheese Shop, Bagel Express, Revolution American Bistro. Hundreds of participants attended throughout the event, raising funds for future activities in Pawtuxet Village.
