After 859 years, 40 retire from Cranston school positions

As with the end of the school year and students graduating and moving on, so do the dedicated employees of Cranston Public Schools.

From supervisors, guidance counselors, classroom teachers, teachers’ aides, bus drivers and aides, to custodians, secretaries and nurses, they all have played an integral part in the educational experience of Cranston students.

With a combined total of 859 years spent in the district, these dedicated employees helped keep Cranston schools running.

As of the July School Committee meeting, the retirees include:

Robin D’Alemeida, Rick Gebhart, Barbara Fournier, Karen Kurzman, Christine Kimball, Vicki Carlson-Clark, Linda Licker, Marie Lupino, Allan Hurst, Maria Zannella, Steve Krous, Donna Jones, Ernestine Hanly, Alan Bostock, Seta Chateauneuf, Beverly Smith, Jean Fryberg, Alejandro Estapinsalo, Joanne Bruno-Miller, Alfred Johnson, Kathy Eichorn, Carmine Pisaturo, Donna McDevitt, Joseph Boutin, Barbara Ruggieri, Lynn Martin, Marie Caranci, Gail Broadbent, Cynthia Renden, Kevin Barbero, Elizabeth Cimini, Victor Caldarone, Thomas Angell, Donna Favicchio, Josephine DeSiderato, Mary Begin, Jane Scivola, Nina Barta, Deborah Jarvis and Denise Cipolla.

"We wish all of the retirees a happy, healthy beginning to this new part of their lives,” said Jeannine Nota, Superintendent of Cranston schools. “Their many years of hard work, dedication and love for Cranston Public Schools and its students is appreciated.”
