The Rhode Island Author Expo returned to Rhodes on the Pawtuxet for its seventh year on Saturday. Attendees were able to meet more than 135 local authors from the Association of Rhode Island Authors, do some holiday shopping and have pictures taken with Santa Claus.
“I believe our Expo is the largest gathering of authors anywhere in the Northeast, and it’s amazing to think they are all from our state. Rhode Island is known for its creative arts, and our authors are showing they are an important part of that community,” said Steve Porter, director of ARIA.
