Keeping up the garden

The Alexis Silva Memorial Garden at Chester Barrows received some TLC on Monday afternoon from members of the Parents and Teachers of Barrows (PTB) group. Co-president Jill Finkle, along with volunteer parents Mark Stoutzenberger and Steve Bush were on hand for the clean-up. Additionally, two students, fourth-grader Kara Bush and sixth-grader Mason Bush, helped out the adults in the garden. Kara will be returning to Barrows next week, while Mason heads off to Park View Middle School. Principal Janet Antonelli was pleased to see families returning to the school to help get the outdoor area ready and looks forward to meeting more families as the start of school nears. "We welcome and love to have parents involved here at Chester Barrows," Antonelli said.
