Parent advocacy group BASICS (Benefiting All Students in Cranston Schools) held their annual fall community event, the Dance Party to “Just Fix It” on Friday at the Pastore Youth Center. The event featured a DJ, light show, raffle prizes and refreshments. Students danced in the gymnasium, while parents had the chance to meet local candidates for office for the School Committee and City Council. The event raised more than $1,000 for the group.
