Brett Bucci

The Cranston West boys’ volleyball team went undefeated in Division II en route to winning the championship, dropping just two sets the entire spring, and junior outside hitter Brett Bucci was a main reason why.

Bucci was a mainstay and steady contributor on the court for the Falcons during the regular season, and his game only elevated as the stakes got higher.

Bucci dominated West Warwick at Brown University’s Pizzitola Center in the D-II semifinals, as his big hitting served as a roadblock for any momentum that the Wizards were hoping to build.

The Falcons went on to defeat West Warwick 3-1, and Bucci continued his strong play in the final against Central as well.

He was arguably the best player on the court against West’s stiffest competition within the division, as Bucci once again came up with big point after big point in a title-clinching 3-1 victory for the Falcons.
