The Sanford Brown Institute, located in Cranston, held their 2012 commencement ceremony at the Park Theater last Friday evening. Elaine Morton, CPODCS, CPC, was selected to carry the traditional graduation mace, created by Director of Education Henry Prybylowicz, which signifies academic and community honor. Morton led the graduates and academic staff in the graduation procession. There were 201 graduates in this class.

Morton, a member of the Medical Billing & Coding faculty, was chosen by her peers for her commitment and dedication to student outcomes. She has been a leader in Service Learning and Volunteering at Sanford Brown and has led the student body in many fundraisers and donation drives. She has continued to be an inspiration to students, faculty and staff.
