CHARLESTOWN'S GENERAL STANTON INN FLEA MARKET CELEBRATES 53rd SEASON

~Oldest, continually-running Flea Market in Rhode Island~

WHAT: The General Stanton Inn Flea Market, the oldest, continually-running Flea Market in Rhode Island, will be open every weekend through October 8. The outdoor, antiques and collectibles market, takes place on the tree shaded, seven-plus acres of the historic General Stanton Inn, which was established in 1667. With so much access to the ocean in Charlestown The General Stanton Inn Flea Market is especially treasured for its nautical antiques, crafts and collectibles.

WHEN: The Flea Market is open on Sundays, only, until Memorial Day, from 8 a.m.- 3 p.m.

Starting Memorial Day Weekend (May 26, 27, 28), the Flea Market expands into its' Summer hours, and will open Saturdays, Sundays and Holiday Mondays, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m..

WHERE: The General Joseph Stanton Inn, 4115 Old Post Road, Charlestown, RI 02813

HOW

MUCH: Admission to The General Stanton Inn Flea Market is FREE. A $2. parking fee is charged on Sundays, only.

VENDORS: Sales spaces are available every weekend for new and returning vendors, of antiques, collectibles, art, hand-crafted goods, new merchandise, and Farmers' Market items. Food and

beverage vendors are encouraged to reserve spaces early in the 2018 season, in order to offer a wide selection of breakfast, lunch and snack offerings, to both visitors and vendors, throughout the 24-weekends The General Stanton Inn Flea Market is open.

Vendor spaces are available at just $25.-$35 per day, depending on location. Tarped areas are available or vendors can bring their own protective tents. Vendors are required to bring their own tables and chairs, and must clean and price their items for sale.

FREE SPACES

FOR NON-PROFITS: Following a long-time tradition, The General Stanton Flea Market offers free spaces to non-profits. Non-profit organizations can use the free space, on any given weekend, to share information and/or sell items to raise funds for the group's mission. There is no limit on the number of weeks a non-profit may choose to set up a booth during the Flea Market's season.
