This past Saturday, the Blended and Personalized Learning Conference (BPLC18) hosted a thousand educators at the Providence Convention Center to explore technology integration into instruction. As part of the conference, student work in technology was showcased.
Chester Barrows teacher Jill Robbins and four Barrows students proudly represented their school demonstrating their skills and expertise in Scratch coding. Robbins had partnered with Shane Thomas, co-founder of LearnCreateBuild Academy to bring Scratch programming instruction to Barrows in the form of after school classes. The students’ ease and facilitation with programming concepts impressed and inspired the conference attendees, many of whom traveled from all over the country to attend.
