Claire C. Dailey, 81, a lifelong resident of Eden Park, Cranston, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018. She was a loving daughter of the late Jeremiah and Marion (O’Connell) Dailey.

Claire worked at St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing as clinical instructor for two years and Cranston School Department as elementary education teacher for 28 years. She loved traveling, music, and the arts. Claire was a greeter at Rhode Island Hospital in the Catholic Chaplains Office, volunteer at the Cranston Food Pantry and Pawtucket Children’s Museum, member of the Western Cranston Garden Club, West Bay Chorale, Circle of Scholars at Salve Regina University, Rhode Island Historical Society, Cranston Historical Society, and the Newport Art Museum. She was also a subscriber of the Rhode Island Philharmonic, and attended the Boston College Art Festival each April, after retiring. Claire thought the exceptional talent of students was amazing.

Claire was the sister of Marion Miles, and the late Eugene Dailey, Virginia Cafferky, and Jane Sullivan; sister-in-law of Nancy Dailey and James Cafferky, Sr. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Garden Hills Dr., Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-7 p.m.
