ASSAULT Officer Smith arrested Michael Vargas, 26, of 165 Cherry Hill Rd. in Johnston on Oct. 22 at 2:15 a.m. for domestic simple assault/battery and domestic disorderly conduct. His arrest is the result of a disturbance in the area of 56 Argyle St.

ASSAULT

Officer Smith arrested Michael Vargas, 26, of 165 Cherry Hill Rd. in Johnston on Oct. 22 at 2:15 a.m. for domestic simple assault/battery and domestic disorderly conduct. His arrest is the result of a disturbance in the area of 56 Argyle St. Vargas was held overnight as a probation violator.

Anthony Rainone, 63, of 13 Bend St. in Johnston was arrested on Oct. 21 at 6:54 p.m. by Officer Leclair for simple assault and shoplifting as a result of a larceny complaint at Stop and Shop at 200 Atwood Ave. He was arraigned and released by a Justice of the Peace.

Following a disturbance call at 1500 Oaklawn Ave. on Oct. 20 at 11:12 p.m. Officer Medeiros arrested Orlando Oros, 36, of 25 Sturdy St. in Attleboro, Mass. for domestic disorderly conduct and domestic simple assault. He was then held for arraignment.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

On Oct. 22 at 12:56 a.m., Officer Medeiros arrested Alex Guerra, 22, of 30 Victoria Ave. in Cranston, for driving under the influence second offense, driving after suspension of license and refusal to submit to a chemical test. His arrest is the result of a motor vehicle crash at 579 Reservoir Ave. Guerra was held overnight as a probation violator.

Megan Stahowiak, 23, of 516 Fair St. in Warwick, was arrested on Oct. 17 at 1:56 a.m. by Officer Maione Jr. for driving under the influence first offense and refusal to submit to a chemical test. Her arrest is the result of a hit and run motor vehicle crash at 1185 Narragansett Blvd. and subsequent motor vehicle stop at Broad St. and Lockwood St. She was held overnight awaiting arraignment at Third District Court.

EMBEZZLEMENT

Officer Lavey arrested Jake Legere, 27, of no permanent address on Oct. 18 at 11:11 a.m. for embezzlement over $100 as the result of responding to the Sixth District Court where he was in custody. He was held awaiting arraignment. FRAUD

Christopher Flanagan, 22, of 72 Bridgeham St. Apt. 3 in Providence was arrested on Oct. 19 at 6:52 p.m. by Officer Leonard for three counts of fraudulent use of credit cards as a result of an attempted pick up at the aforementioned address. He was held overnight as a probation violator.

NO CONTACT

On Oct. 17 at 10:25 a.m. Officer Skodras arrested Albert Smith II, 58, of 53 Lewis Ave. in Providence for violating a no contact order. His arrest is the result of a call for service at 1300 Elmwood Ave. He was later transported to the Third District Court.

NO LICENSE

Officer Brown arrested Joel Titus, 38, of 41 Browne St., Cranston on Oct. 21 at 8:07 p.m.. for driving without a license-fifth offense as a result of a traffic stop on New Hampshire St. He was issued a summons and released on scene.

POSSESSION

On Oct. 22 at 4:58 p.m., Officer Leonard arrested Margaret Harman, 43, of 5 Spring Hill Trail, #205 in Seekonk, MA, for possession of a schedule I-V drug as the result of a motor vehicle stop on Elmwood Ave. She was held overnight as a probation violator.

At 11:11 a.m. on Oct. 22 Officer Merry arrested Shannon Andrews, 36, of no particular address, for possession of a schedule I-V drug (Suboxone) and receiving stolen goods. Her arrest is the result of a call for service at 548 Dyer Ave. She was held for arraignment pending arrival of a Justice of the Peace.

The Special Investigations Unit arrested Darling Sanchez, 27 of 199 Terrace Ave., second floor on Oct. 18 at 3:09 p.m. for four counts of possession of a firearm during a crime of violence and one count of manufacturing/possession/delivery of a schedule I-V drug (cocaine) as a result of a call for service for a home invasion at 199 Terrace Ave., Cranston. Sanchez was then held for arraignment.

Kenneth Jackson, 28 of 146 New York Ave. in Providence, was arrested on Oct. 18 at 3:15 p.m. by the Special Investigations Unit for one count of possession of schedule I-V drug (Fentanyl) as a result of a narcotics trafficking investigation at 50 Birch St. in Cranston. He was then held for arraignment.

On Oct. 16 at approximately 10:45 a.m. Detective Fuoroli arrested Helio Sousa, 41 of 426 Farmington Ave., Cranston for one count of manufacturing/possession/delivery of cocaine as a result of a vehicle stop. He was then held for arraignment. SEX OFFENDER REGISTRATION

Officer Maione arrested Justin Michael Burgess, 24, of 30 Howard Ave. on Oct. 21 at 12:42 a.m. for sex offender registration required. His arrest was the result of Providence Police arresting Burgess on a Cranston Police Department arrest warrant. He was held for arraignment.

At approximately 11:20 p.m. on Oct. 17 Officer Leonard arrested Christopher Donnelly, 33, of 30 Howard Ave., Cranston, RI, for a sexual offender address change. The arrest was the result of the Essex County Sheriff’s Department turning him over on an outstanding warrant. He was held awaiting arraignment in the morning.

VANDALISM

On Oct. 21 at 10:26 a.m. Officer Lang arrested Gary King, 36, of 125 Pawtuxet Ave. in Cranston, for domestic vandalism and domestic disorderly conduct. His arrest was the result of a call for service at 125 Pawtuxet Ave. King was arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released.

WARRANTS

Officer Sirois arrested Alexis Hamilton, 24, of 108 Camp St. in West Yarmouth, Mass., on Oct. 21 at 1:51 a.m. on a Sixth District Court bench warrant. Her arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Narragansett Street and Narragansett Boulvard. She was later transported to the ACI.

On Oct. 20 at 1:06 p.m. Officer McIntyre arrested Lisa Vasconcelos, 43, of 361 Dyer Ave. Apt. 1 in Cranston, for a Superior Court full bench warrant. Her arrest was the result of a motor vehicle accident investigation on Farmington Avenue and she was later transported to Superior Court

Officer Brown arrested Ashley Barboza, 26, of 71 Clyde St. Apt. 2 in Pawtucket on Oct. 19 at 5:03 p.m. for obtaining vehicles with intent to defraud as a result of an Affidavit Warrant pick up by the Pawtucket Police. She was held for morning court as a bail violator.

Nina Santiago, 50, of 40 Leander St. Apt # 319 in Providence was arrested on Oct. 19 at 12:05 p.m. by Officer Comella for shoplifting and a Superior Court full bench warrant. Her arrest was the result of a call for service at the Stop and Shop located at 204 Garfield Ave. She was held for arraignment by a Justice of the Peace.

On Oct. 17 at approximately 7:52 p.m., Officers Leonard and Cragin arrested Lisa Dwyer, 38, of 1017 Reservoir Ave. Apt. 2, in Cranston, for disorderly conduct, vandalism/malicious injury, and willful trespass. The arrest was the result of an attempted pickup at the suspect’s address for an active warrant. She was later arraigned by a Justice of the Peace.

Officer Cragin arrested Terrance Blockson, 56, of 47 Covell St. in Providence, on Oct. 17 at approximately 9:47 p.m. for obstructing an officer in execution of duty, suspended license third offense, and an outstanding Sixth District Court bench warrant following a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Cranston Street and Princess Avenue. He was held for arraignment in the morning.
