ASSAULT

On Oct. 29 at approximately 6:15 p.m., Officer Scotti arrested Carla Dempsey, 47, of 81 Redwood Dr. in Cranston for domestic disorderly conduct, domestic simple assault and driving without consent of owner. The arrest was the result of a call for a disturbance at her residence. Dempsey was then held to await arraignment.

At 9:22 a.m. on Oct 28, Officer Lavey arrested Gary Rogers, 51, of 50 Birch St. in Cranston, for two counts of simple assault and disorderly conduct. The arrest was a result of subject turning himself in on a Cranston Police warrant, and he was arraigned by a justice of the peace.

Officers Sirois arrested Norman Gaines, 25, of 298 Greenwood St. in Cranston, for domestic simple assault/battery and domestic disorderly conduct on Oct. 28 at 5:36 a.m. The arrest was the result of a disturbance at the above address. Disposition of Arrestee: Held overnight awaiting arraignment by Justice of the Peace.

Following a call for service on Oct. 27 at about 2:30 a.m., Officer Smith arrested Rebecca Carney Braveman, 21, of 1150 Narragansett Ave. in Cranston for domestic simple assault. She was then held to await arraignment.

On Oct. 26 at about 1:13 a.m., Officer Russell arrested Henry Ipeli, 33, of 117 Greenwood St. in Cranston for domestic simple assault as the result of a call for service at 117 Greenwood St. He was held for arraignment.

As a result of a narcotics trafficking investigation and search warrant execution at 60 B Street, 2nd Floor in Cranston on Oct. 25 at 9:12 a.m. K-9 Officer Bruno and members of Special Investigations Unit arrested Frank Gautier, of the above address, for one count of resisting arrest, one count of simple assault and one count of disorderly conduct.

Officer Medeiros arrested Samean Meas, 31, of 660 Public St. in Providence for obstruction, simple assault and resisting arrest as the result of a suspicious activity investigation at 1015 Narragansett Blvd.

DRAG RACING

Ronald Defusco, 49, of 9 Steere St. in Johnston, was arrested on Oct. 26 at 10:47 a.m. by Officer Aldrich for reckless driving, drag racing and eluding police. His arrest is the result of the suspect turning himself into headquarters. He was later transported to Third District Court.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

On Oct 26 at about 11:24 p.m., Officer Maione arrested Raymond Soucy, 42, of 233 Byron Blvd. in Warwick for driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a chemical test as the result of a single car crash in front of 1450 Elmwood Ave. where a telephone pole was struck. He was held for arraignment.

FRAUD

On Oct. 27 around 9:30 a.m. Officer Smith arrested Julia Delgado, 48, of 160 Broad St. for larceny under $1,500 and fraudulent use of credit cards as the result of a call for service at 1282 Elmwood Avenue. Delgado was then transported to the Third District Court.

FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE

Officer Maione Jr arrested Susan Gordon, 49, of 35 Butler St #2 on Oct. 24 at 1:48 p.m. as a fugitive from justice out of Kentucky. Her arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Broad Street and Betsey Williams Drive. She was held for arraignment.

NO CONTACT

At about 10:21 p.m. on Oct. 26, Officer Troiano arrested Lisa Ise, 39, of 91 Oaklawn Ave. in Cranston for violation of a no contact order as the result of a call for service at the above address. She was held for arraignment.

POSSESSION

Herbert J. Rhodes III, 38, of 380 Atwood Ave., was arrested on Oct. 28 at 11:51 p.m. by Officer McCoy for possession of a schedule II drug and driving on a suspended license. His arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Cranston Street and Webster Avenue, and he was held for arraignment.

On Oct. 25 at 9:12 a.m. members of Special Investigations Unit arrested Frank Gautier, 33, of 60 B St., 2nd Floor in Cranston for one count of manufacturing/delivery/possession of a schedule I-V (cocaine), one count of controlled substances conspiracy (cocaine), one count of possession of a schedule I-V drug, and one count of arrest on a warrant as a result of a narcotics trafficking investigation and search warrant execution at the above address.

SHOPLIFTING

Officer Skodras arrested Shaine Patrick, 25, of 160 Valette St. in Cranston, for Shoplifting on Oct. 29 at 11:15 a.m. His arrest was the result of a call for service at Shaws at 8 Chapel View Blvd. Patrick was then arraigned and released.

SUSPENDED LICENSE

Following a motor vehicle stop in the area of Park Avenue and Bow Street on Oct. 29 at 1:06 a.m., Officer Maione Jr. arrested Michael Cogean, 33, of 67 Alverson Ave, in Providence for driving with a suspended license third/subsequent offense. He was issued a court summons to appear.

WARRANTS

On Oct. 28 at 5:39 p.m., Officer Travers arrested Tobias Hernandez, 27, of 106 River St, in Warwick for an active Superior Court bench warrant. The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Broad Street. He was processed and transported to the ACI.

Officer Aldrich arrested John Johnson, 43, of 26 Everly St. Cranston, on Oct. 26 at 9:10 a.m. for a Third District Court bench warrant. His arrest is the result of a call for service at 33 Welfare Ave., and he was later transported to the Third District Court.

At 11:55 a.m. on Oct. 26, Officer McIntyre arrested Vincent O’Brien, 36, of 485 Plainfield St. in Providence, for a Third District Court bench warrant. His arrest was the result of a call for service at 296 Garfield Ave. O’Brien was later transported to the Third District Court.
