CHILD ABUSE

On July 6 at approximately 10:28 p.m. Officer Henry III arrested Bethany M. Romeo, 37, of 25 Hibiscus Drive for second-degree child abuse. Her arrest was the result of a call for service at 515 Natick Ave., and she was held for arraignment at Third District Court.

WARRANTS

On July 10 at 1:24 p.m., Officer McIntyre arrested Donnell Talley, 57, of 15 Meeting St., Newport, for shoplifting and a bench warrant from the Second District Court. Talley’s arrest is the result of a call for service at the Stop & Shop at 275 Warwick Ave. He was held for arraignment pending arrival of a justice of the peace.

Raymond Lisi, 50, of 993 Manton Ave. Apt #413 in Providence was arrested on July 9 around 6:45 p.m. by Officer Casaceli for a Cranston Police Department warrant for first-degree child molestation as a result of Providence Police picking him up on said warrant. He was held for arraignment.

Officer Murray arrested Michael McDonald, 32, of 22 Senate Ave. in Pawtucket, on July 9 at approximately 4 p.m. for a Cranston Police Department warrant for violation of a no contact order, domestic simple assault, domestic disorderly conduct, and two counts of simple assault as a result of being notified that he was at RI Hospital. He was arraigned at the hospital and turned over to sheriffs.

POSSESSION

Officers Dagnese and Langlais arrested Mathew Strom, 29, of 300 High St. Apt #2 in Cumberland on July 9 at approximately 6:00 p.m. for possession of a Schedule I-V drug as a result of a motor vehicle stop. He was arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released.

On July 7 at 2:03 p.m. Officer Lavey arrested Jeanette Sears, 28, of 20 Clemence St. #1 in Cranston for possession of Schedule I-V drug (Crack). The arrest is the result of subject turning herself in on a Cranston Police arrest warrant and she was transported to Third District Court.

ASSAULT

On July 9 at 9:30 p.m. Officer Murray and Sgt. McHugh arrested Gethyn Jones, 47, of 305 Heather St. Apt #2 in Cranston, for domestic simple assault, domestic disorderly conduct and domestic vandalism as a result of driving through Cranston and in the front parking lot of headquarters.

Hildeberto Soares, 22, of 21 8th St. #3 in East Providence, and Kristen Jones, 30, of the same address, were arrested on July 9 at 10:10 a.m. by Officer Babcock for two counts of felony assault using a device similar to a firearm and two counts of conspiracy as the result of a disturbance call as 3 Welfare Ave. They were held for arraignment.

On July 9 at 1:52 a.m. Officer Casaceli arrested Sokhen Kim, 38, of 78 Whipple Ave. in Cranston for domestic simple assault. The arrest was the result of a call for a disturbance at 168 Farmington Ave., where Kim was found to have a pending arrest and affidavit warrant out of Cranston.

DISORDERLY

Following a disturbance at Mardi Gras at 1500 Oaklawn Ave. on July 9 at 1:14 a.m., Officer Leclair arrested Erica Alicea, 30, of 449 Public St. 1st floor in Providence, for Disorderly Conduct. She was held overnight awaiting arraignment in the morning. Also arrested was Alicia Brown, 30, of 471 Village Rd #31 Woonsocket, for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Both were held overnight to await arraignment in the morning.

On July 9 at 1:27 a.m. Officer Smith arrested Temitayo Omodunbi, 30, of 951 Dyer Ave. #102 in Cranston, for domestic disorderly conduct and domestic vandalism. The arrest was the result of a call for a disturbance at the aforementioned address. 

Following a call for service on July 8 at approximately 6:20 p.m. Officer Travers arrested Elaina Muratori, 35, of 1684 Chalkstone Ave in Providence, for disorderly conduct as a result of a call for service at 25 Hibiscus Dr. She was arraigned by justice of the peace and released.

SHOPLIFTING

On July 8 at approximately 7:35 p.m. Officer Travers arrested William Furlong Jr., 45, of 19 West St. in Providence for shoplifting as a result of a call for service at Stop and Shop at 204 Garfield Ave. He was held for arraignment.

STOLEN GOODS

Officer Merry arrested Pedro Jacquez, 59, of 265 Heather St. in Cranston on July 8 at 12:35 p.m. for receiving stolen goods as a result of a suspicious vehicle call on Heather St. He was held for arraignment.

RECKLESS DRIVING

On July 8 at 1:31a.m. Inspector Santagata arrested Gaspar Alonzo, 20, of 285 Union Ave. in Providence for reckless driving. His arrest was the result of an officer initiated investigation of suspicious activity and subsequent motor vehicle stop. He was then held for Arraignment.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Officer LeClair arrested Charles Dickerson, 33, of 31 Capuano Ave. on July 8 at 2:46 a.m. for driving under the influence, first offense as a result of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Pontiac and Hawthorn St. He was held for arraignment.
