ASSAULT

On Sept. 3 at approximately 1:09 p.m., Officers Long and Maione Jr. arrested Jose Leon, 28, of 40 Maplewood Ave. Cranston, for disorderly conduct and simple assault. The arrest was the result of a call for an assault at Miller’s Crossing at 43 Bald Hill Road. He was held awaiting arraignment. 

Steven Roberts, 40, of 77 Humbert Ave. in Cranston was arrested for domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct on Sept. 1 at 8:05 p.m. by Officers Sullivan and Murray. His arrest was the result of a call for service at 77 Humbert Ave. He was arraigned and released.

Officer Murray arrested Joseph Jones, 33, of 33.5 Lincoln Ave. in Cranston on September 1 at 7:10 a.m. for assault on a person over 60, simple assault, and disorderly conduct. His arrest is the result of an attempted pick up by Detective Cardone, and he was transported to the Third District Court.

On August 29 at 11:01 p.m., Officer Robbins arrested Kristen Bibeault, 33, of 1690 Broad St. #26 for domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct. Her arrest the result of a call for service at 1690 Broad St. She was held for Arraignment at the Third District Court.

OBSTRUCTION

Robert Garafano, 34, of 156 Auburn St. in Cranston was arrested on September 1 at 12:55 p.m. by Officer Manzotti for obstructing an officer in the execution of duty and three Third District Court Bench Warrants. His arrest is the result of an attempted pick up at 45 Delta St., and he was held for transport to the ACI. At 11:11 a.m. on Aug. 30, Officer Lavey arrested Jeffrey Brown, 48, of 173 Bellevue Ave. in Providence, for obstructing an officer in the execution of duty. His arrest is the result of a pick up at Providence Police Headquarters. He was held for arraignment pending the arrival of a justice of the peace.

SEXUAL OFFENDER ADDRESS

On Aug. 31 at 10:41 a.m., Officer Merry arrested Carlos Lopez Jr., 65, of 30 Howard Ave. in Cranston, for a sexual offender address change as a result of him being arrested by the U.S. Marshals and turned over to Cranston PD. He was held for arraignment.

SHOPLIFTING

On Sept. 1 at 8:44 a.m. Officer Merry arrested Brian Perez, 23, of 104 Barrows St. in Providence for shoplifting. His arrest is the result of a call for service at 218 South Clarendon St. and he was transported to the Third District Court. Officer Cragin arrested Steven Willette, 26, of 530 North Main St. in Providence, on Aug. 29 at 4:34 p.m. for shoplifting as a result of a shoplifting call at 1441 Elmwood Ave. Willette was then arraigned and released.

STOLEN GOODS

On Aug. 30 at 6:41 a.m., Officer Maione arrested Anthony Deciantis, 35, of 96 Tomahawk Trail in Cranston, for possession of stolen vehicle/parts. His arrest is the result of a call for service at Farmington Ave and Dyer Ave., and he was later transported to the Third District Court.

At 6:40 p.m. on Aug. 29, Officer Mason arrested George Haney, 57, of 106 Fuller Ave. in Central Falls for receiving stolen goods under $1,500 as the result of a motor vehicle stop on Plainfield Pike. He was then arraigned and released.

WARRANT

Officers O’Leary and Viens arrested Curtis Rodriguez, 28, of 726 Dyer Ave. in Cranston on Sept. 2 at 10:10 a.m. for a Sixth District Court Bench Warrant. His arrest was the result of a keep the peace call, and he was transported to the ACI. On Sept. 1 at 10:14 a.m. Officer Clifford arrested Jesus Ocasio, 30, of 623 Douglas Ave. in Providence, for four Superior Court Bench Warrants. His arrest is the result of an attempted pick-up at 71 Freeway Drive, and he was held for transport to the ACI. Socorro Cronan, 35, of 585 Pontiac Ave. #51 in Cranston, was arrested on Aug. 31 at 12:30 p.m. by Officer Clifford for a 6th District Court Bench Warrant as the result of a motor vehicle stop on Reservoir Ave. Cronan was then held for arraignment.

WEAPONS

Officer A. Hardy arrested David Buchanan, 62, of 780 Reservoir Ave. #112 in Cranston on Aug. 29 at 8:01 p.m. for disorderly conduct and weapons other than firearms prohibited as a result of a suspicious activity/disturbance call on Reservoir Ave. He was arraigned and released.
