DISORDERLY CONDUCT AND MORE

Cranston Deputy Fire Chief Paul Valletta, 59, was arrested following an alleged incident at the Cranston Fire Department on 1155 Scituate Ave. on Sept. 9 at around 2 p.m.

Valletta was charged with simple assault or battery and disorderly conduct (fighting/tumultuous behavior). He was arraigned at State Police Headquarters and released on personal recognizance pending further court action.

According to a press release from the City of Cranston, Valletta has been suspended with pay pending the outcome of an investigation involving the City, State Police and Cranston Fire Department. SHOPLIFTING

On September 10 at 3:21 p.m. Officers Lavey and Korkuc arrested a juvenile female, for Shoplifting. Arrest is the result of a call for service at the K-Mart at 296 Garfield Ave. She was then turned over to a parent. POSSESSION

Officers Mastrati and Maione Jr. arrested Mario Ruiz, 19, of 28 Spenstone Rd. in Cranston on September 9 at approximately 11:40 p.m. for possession of marijuana, first offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Cranston St. and Whipple Ave. He was held for arraignment in the morning. ASSAULT

Jessica Franks, 30, of 284 Pontiac Ave. Cranston, was arrested on September 10 at approximately 1:52 hrs. by Officers Smith and Leclair for domestic simple assault, domestic disorderly conduct, domestic refusal to relinquish a telephone, domestic vandalism, simple assault and resisting arrest. The arrest was the result of a call for a domestic disturbance at 81 Rutland St. She was held for arraignment.

On September 7 at 6:53 p.m. Officer A. Hardy arrested Eugene Merola, 47, of 145 Columbus Blvd. in Cranston for simple assault and disorderly conduct as a result of a disturbance call at 135 Columbus Blvd. He was arraigned and released by a Justice of the Peace. DISORDERLY

Officer Cragin arrested Joseph Hubert, 34, of 14 Pendleton St., #3 in Cranston on September 5 at 7:21 p.m. for domestic disorderly conduct. His arrest is the result of a disturbance at the above address, and he was held overnight awaiting arraignment at Third District Court.

On September 5 at 7:46 p.m. Officer McCoy arrested Carmen Holford, 21, of 170 Cumberland St. #33 in Woonsocket for disorderly conduct and simple assault/battery. The arrest was the result of a disturbance at the Gulf Express at 2148 Broad St. Holford was held overnight awaiting arraignment at Third District Court. DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE Following a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Reservoir Ave. and Pontiac Ave. just over the line into Providence on September 9 at approximately 1:34 a.m., Officer Smith arrested Thomas Fredericks, 25, of 49 N. Country Club Rd. in Warwick, RI, for reckless driving and driving under the influence first offence, blood alcohol content unknown. He was held for arraignment as a violator.

On September 6 at 0037 hours, Officers Sirois and Bellevue arrested Jontae Sanders, 33, of 110 Mineral Spring Ave. in Pawtucket, for driving under the influence first offense blood alcohol content unknown, resisting legal or illegal arrest and disorderly conduct. The arrest is the result of a motor vehicle crash at 1640 Elmwood Ave. Sanders was held overnight awaiting arraignment in Third District Court.

Officers Rocchio and Casaceli arrested Felipe A Moronta II, 31, of 79 Thomas Leighton Blvd. in Cumberland for Driving under the influence of drugs/alcohol, first offense, blood alcohol content unknown. His arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 95N and Route 10. He was held for arraignment.

Danielle L. Loccisano, 30, of 941 Dyer Ave. Apt 3 in Cranston was arrested on September 4 at 11:12 p.m. by Officer J. Hardy for driving under the influence first offense blood alcohol content unknown, possession of schedule I-V drug, and duty to stop with an accident to an attended vehicle. Her arrest was the result of a motor vehicle accident in the area of 659 Reservoir Ave. and a subsequent investigation. She was then held for arraignment. SUSPENDED LICENSE

On September 8 at 3:50 p.m., Officer Corvese arrested James Fleet, 46, of 39 Barrows St. Apt. 2, in Providence for driving after suspension of license third offense as a result of a traffic stop on Plainfield Pike. He was issued a summons and released on scene.

Sgt. Jubinville arrested David Denuccio Sr., 55 of 1615 Cranston St. in Cranston on September 5 at 9:15 p.m. for driving with a suspended license third offense following a motor vehicle stop at Park Ave. and Seymour Ave. At the scene he was provided a District Court summons and released. WARRANT

Officer Comella arrested Shon Phillips, 40, of 4 Bernon St. in Providence for an affidavit warrant from Providence Police as a result of a sex offender registration check at Headquarters. He was then turned over to Providence Police.

On September 6 at 2:20 a.m. Officer Maione Jr. arrested Avelino Torres Jr., 21, of 129 Courtland Street #1 in Providence for a Superior Court bench warrant. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop at Webster Ave. and Hillwood St. Torres was processed and transported to the ACI Intake. PROTECTIVE ORDERS

Alan Tarasenko, 40, of 6 Lookout Ave. in Cranston, was arrested on September 6 at 4:32 p.m. by Officers LeClair and Clifford for domestic protective orders, third offense. His arrest was the result of a call for service at Chestnut Hill and Princess Ave. He was later transported to court.

LARCENY

On September 6 at 4:32 p.m. Officer Langlais arrested Antonio Pacheco, 35, of 82 Parkway Ave. in Cranston, for larceny under $1,500. His arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop and Antonio having an active Cranston Police Department warrant. He was then transported to court in the morning.
