The Community College of Rhode Island has announced that Cody J. Fino of Cranston has been named director of Industry Partnerships for HealthCare for CCRI’s Division of Workforce Partnerships.

In his new position, Fino will manage employer, industry and community partner relationships in the bioscience, healthcare, information technology industries.

Prior to this position, Fino served as coordinator for CCRI’s satellite campus at the Westerly Education Center. He previously served as a career service representative at Lincoln Technical Institute.

Fino is an alumnus of CCRI, graduating in 2014 with an Associate of Arts degree before transferring to Providence College where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Leadership Development. He is currently studying for a master’s in education, also at Providence College.

CCRI’s Division of Workforce Partnerships works in close collaboration with industry and business leaders to ensure the college’s offerings are meeting both current and future workforce needs. The division provides workforce, adult education, and transportation education programs as well as career service and employer solutions offerings in service to the Rhode Island community and beyond.

CCRI is at the forefront of improving the ways community college students are prepared to advance their education and career prospects. This May, the college achieved its highest two- and three-year graduation rates in more than 20 years and awarded more credentials than ever before. The college expects to have the highest three-year graduation rate of any community college in New England by 2021.
