Despite the fact that band and chorus have been cut at the elementary school level, general music still exists in the curriculum and last week, the students at Glen Hills Elementary showed off what they have learned this year with music teacher Ruth Moran.

The musical extravaganza included songs that spotlighted themes such as Black History Month, the winter season, health and even personal motivation. They also had student solos, choreographed pieces and musical instrument accompaniments.

Coincidentally, the winter concert show date coincided with School Spirit Week, specifically with Crazy Hair Day, making the performance even more interesting.
