The Cold Stone Creamery, located in Chapel View in Cranston, hosted the 11th World’s Largest Annual Ice Cream Social on Sept. 27, to help raise money for wishes in local communities. Throughout the month of September, Cold Stone Creamery stores were donating $1 from the sale of Make-A-Wish stars.
Cranston Mayor Allan Fung joined the Stone Cold Creamery associates as a special guest “scooper,” along with local Wish children and Make-A-Wish volunteers who were there to answer questions about the Foundation.
Cold Stone Creamery has supported Make-A-Wish America since 2002 to help Make-A-Wish chapters across the country grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Make-A-Wish grants wishes for children between the ages of 2 and 18 years with life-threatening medical conditions. In 2012, Make-A-Wish celebrates its 25th anniversary of granting wishes. (Herald photos by Steve Popiel)
