On this past gorgeous, sunny, yet breezy Saturday, 115 students from Garden City School partook in their first ever color-run event, and the Family Engagement Network (FEN) partnered the run with their annual Harvest Fest.
The kids ran half a mile around their school building led by a Cranston Police escort and were greeted at the finish line by Paws and Sox from Pawtucket Red Sox. The race was kicked off by the Cranston Fire Department truck sounding their airhorn.
Once the race was finished, the kids played traditional handmade games like Plinko, the limbo and basket toss. There was an inflatable obstacle course, food, face painting, music & prizes.
