For the first time, the staff and students at Glen Hills Elementary School took their Walk-a-Thon fundraiser off school property and to a favorite local community spot, Brayton Park, on Friday, Oct. 12. Besides being a fundraiser for the school, the timing of the event allowed the students to blow off any NECAP testing steam that they may have accumulated from the past two weeks of standardized testing. The Glen Hills Parent Teacher Association organized the event and many parent volunteers were present, walking with the students, manning the stations and overseeing the snacks.
