The students at Gladstone Elementary School participated in their annual Vocabulary Hat Parade in conjunction with Reading Week. Each year, the school reads a story to go along with the parade. According to Principal Kristen Ward, the story read this year was "The Greedy Triangle," a mathematics story by Marilyn Burns. The story has a geometry focus and the students' vocabulary words focused on mathematics vocabulary as well. The parade was combined with a book fair and a night of family activities and a hat contest.
