ASSAULT

Following a disturbance report at 20 Ausdale Rd. in Cranston on November 12 at approximately 8:58 p.m., Officers A. Hardy and Reis arrested Robin Mays, 50, of the above address for domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct. She was held for arraignment.

On November 7 at 5 a.m., Officer Russell arrested Sean Richardson, 26, of 35 Bowlet St. in Providence for domestic-simple assault/battery and domestic-disorderly conduct. His arrest was the result of a pick-up at Providence Police. Richardson was held for arraignment at the Third District Court.

Darlene Amaral, 43, of 2 Law Ave. in Cranston, was arrested on November 6 at 7:02 p.m. by Officer Corvese and Officer Troiano for domestic disorderly conduct and domestic assault. The arrest was a result of a call for a disturbance at her residence. She was held awaiting arraignment.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

On November 12 at 7:43 a.m. Officer C. Dempsey arrested Sean Laporte, 24, of 269 Hope Rd. in Cranston, for driving under the influence first offense. His arrest was the result of a motor vehicle accident investigation on Natick Ave. Laporte was arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released.

Officer McCoy arrested David Taveras, 30, of 573 Public St. in Providence on November 10 at 5:41 p.m., for driving under the influence first offense, reckless driving and refusal to submit to a chemical test as the result of a motor vehicle stop on Narragansett Blvd. He was arraigned and released. 

As a result of a motor vehicle stop at 550 Pontiac Ave. on November 8 at 4:46 p.m., Officer Cragin arrested Kimberly Matarese, 48, of 30 Forest Ave. in Cranston for suspicion of driving under the influence and resisting legal arrest. Matarese was issued a release to appear and transported to RI Hospital for treatment due to a high level of intoxication.

FORGERY

Alan Cordeiro, 59, of 76 Urquhart St., in Cranston, was arrested on November 12 at approximately 7:20 p.m. by Officer Leonard for larceny under $1,500, fraudulent use of credit cards, forgery and counterfeiting, passing of counterfeit certificates/bills/notes, and receiving stolen goods, He was arraigned and released by a Justice of the Peace.

As a result of a traffic stop at the intersection of Broad St. and Armington St. on November 11 at approximately 6 p.m., Officer Travers arrested Peggy Colon, 25, of 54 Prescott St. Apt. B, in Providence for forgery and counterfeiting of registration plates, giving false documents to a public official, and driving after suspension of a license, sixth offense. She was held for morning arraignment as a bail violator.

MASSAGE LICENSE

on November 8 at 9:30 a.m. Detective Iacone arrested Xie Yue Lan, 38 of 71 Grace St in Cranston at Alisa Foot Reflexology, 1285 park Ave. Unit B, for practice of massage-license required based on an ongoing investigation. Lan was then held for arraignment.

SEX OFFENDER ADDRESS

Allen E. Spencer, 62 of 30 Howard Avenue, Cranston, was arrested on November 7 at 10:16 p.m. by Officer Brown for failure to register as a sex offender as a result of a warrant pick up at 30 Howard Avenue. He was held for arraignment.

SHOPLIFTING

Officers Troiano and Scotti arrested Mukadas Lawal, 27, of 35 Autumn St., Providence on November 12 at approximately 6:02 p.m. for misdemeanor shoplifting and conspiracy. The arrest was the result of a call at the Stop and Shop at 275 Warwick Ave. Lawal was arraigned and released by a Justice of the Peace. Also arrested was Cherish Norman, 25, of 19 Appleton St. in Providence, RI, for misdemeanor shoplifting, conspiracy, and an outstanding Third District Court bench warrant. Norman was held for arraignment as a bail violator. 

On November 10 at 3:46 p.m., Officer Scotti arrested Sergio Cotez, 26, of 18 Fairmont St. in West Warwick, for shoplifting as the result of a shoplifting call at 8 Chapel View Dr. Cortez was arraigned and released.

Andreas Willis, 48, of 90 Pontiac Ave. Apt #2 in Cranston was arrested on November 9 at noon by Officer Langlais for shoplifting. The arrest was result of a call for service at Stop and Shop at 204 Garfield Ave. Willis was then held for arraignment.

On November 8 at noon, Officer Escobar arrested Amanda Adams, 31, of 56 Maple Ave. Apt. G205 in West Warwick for shoplifting. Her arrest was result of a call for service at Stop and Shop at 275 Warwick Ave. She was later transported to the Third District Court.

STOLEN GOODS

Officer A. Hardy arrested Evaristo Medina, 52 of 884 Main Street #1 in Pawtucket on November 9 at 10:38 p.m. for possession of stolen vehicle/ parts, receiving stolen goods and driving under the influence first offense as a result of a hit and run Accident at 899 Park Avenue. Medina was held for arraignment.

WARRANTS

On November 12 at approximately 5:50 p.m. Officer Carroll arrested Alejandro Rubio, 32, of 179 Woodbine St. in Cranston for an outstanding Third District Court bench warrant. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of the Webster Bank near 1155 Pontiac Ave. Rubio was arraigned and released by a Justice of the Peace.

Officer Travers arrested Vanessa Hay, 20, of 34 Forest St. 2nd floor in Lynn, MA on November 11 at approximately 6 p.m. for a Superior Court bench warrant as a result of a traffic stop at the intersection of Broad St. and Armington St. She was later transported to the ACI Women’s Intake. As a result of a traffic stop at 247 Garfield Avenue on November 11 at 2:14 p.m., Officer Maione arrested Miguel Lux, 39, of 97 Charles Street in Providence for a Third District Court bench warrant as a result of a traffic stop at 247 Garfield Avenue. He was later transferred to ACI. Deandra Watson, 36, of 75 Cypress St, #1 in Providence was arrested on November 10 at 9:55 a.m. by Officer Travers for a Smithfield Police warrant for shoplifting as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Cranston St. She was later transported to the Smithfield Police Department. On November 8 at 8:55 p.m., Officer Dagnese arrested Matthew Richard Smith, 40, of 62 Erastus St. Apt. #1 in Providence for an active arrest and affidavit warrant issued by Providence Police as well as two active Sixth District Court bench warrants. The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop at 1481 Elmwood Ave. Smith was later turned over to Providence Police. Officer Comella and Detective Fuoroli arrested Anthony Brunetti, 52, of 1194 Main St. in Coventry on November 6 at 11:47 a.m. for driving on a suspended license, possession of a counterfeit bill/note, and for an outstanding arrest and affidavit warrant out of the Cranston Police Department for an additional charge of driving on a suspended license. The arrest was a result of motor vehicle stop in the area of 69 Fletcher Ave. Brunetti was held for arraignment as a probation violator.

WEAPONS

On November 10 at 9:55 a.m., Officer Travers arrested Gary Spencer, 40, of 75 Cypress St #1 in Providence, for weapons other than firearms and driving with a suspended license, fifth offense, as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Cranston St. He was held to awaiting arraignment.
