The team at The Thirsty Beaver Hometown Pub & Grub has helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for various local nonprofits.

On Sunday, the Atwood Avenue establishment lent its support to the eighth annual Hope for the Homeless BBQ at the Rhode Island Dream Center at Praise Tabernacle Church in Cranston.

Approximately 200 guests were served, and the menu included hamburgers, hot dogs, fruit, chips, potato salad, ice cream and more.

Warren Howard of Howard’s Lawncare also donated a portion of the funds to help purchase the food for the event, while Powdermill Creamery donated ice cream. MAE Organization for the Homeless provided clothes and toiletries to those in need.

The Thirsty Beaver will host its annual 9 Hole Shootout at the Cranston Country Club on Sept. 22 to benefit The Rhode Island Dream Center. To sign up or for more information, visit thirstybeaverpub.com.
