The Artists’ Exchange on Rolfe Sq. hosts a monthly Craft Bash which are free for children and their families. On Aug. 26, children learned the basics of pottery under the direction of Claudia DeCesare of the Artists’ Exchange. The craft this past weekend was to learn to build a clay cup and travel through time and space in history to learn how they would have been decorated by the ancient artisans.

Sponsors of the Craft Bash are the Kiki’s Garden/Krista Weller Burns Foundation. Additional sponsors include Financial Independence Wealth Enhancement & Preservation, Amica Companies Foundation, Collette Guide to Travel and Phreds Drugs.

Families are welcome to join in for free crafts at Artists' Exchange on the last Saturday of every month. The next Craft Bash is scheduled for Sept. 30 when children and their families can create a poetry collage. A poetry collage is a work of art that represents yourself with pictures, words, colors and more.

For more information on this free program, contact the Artists’ Exchange at 401-490-9475 or visit their website at www.artists-exchage.org.
