Linda J. “Gammy” (Pearson) Dale, LPN, 72, of Post Road, Warwick, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Kent Hospital. She was the wife of the late Michael R. Dale.

The daughter of the late Earle M. and Jane E. (Ahlquist) Pearson and sister of the late Paul Pearson, Linda was a lifelong Warwick resident and welcomed all who entered her home on Harding Ave. Growing up, Linda was a majority member of the International Order of Rainbow for Girls Warwick Assembly #15 PWA, a member of the Order of Eastern Star Signet Chapter #32, and an auxiliary member of the American Legion William Shields Post #43 in Warwick. She was a devoted member of the Warwick Democratic Committee Ward 1 and the Warwick Juvenile Hearing Board.

Linda was a licensed practical nurse and was employed for most of her career – 32 years – at Kent County Memorial Hospital, from where she retired in 2001. She loved reading, fishing and flying kites at Conimicut Point, watching softball games at The Pit, and spending quality time with her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Paula S. Brown and her husband, Frank, of Warwick and Kristen E. Haroian of Cranston; a stepdaughter, Sharon Cardoza of New Bedford, Mass.; a son, Robert Fisher of Cranston; seven grandchildren, Kelli-Lynne Palmer-Brown, Alexandra “Lexi” Brown, Christian “Dude” Brown, Danielle Fisher, Sarah Fisher and Ralph Cardoza; and four great-grandchildren. She was the grandmother of the late Michelle Cardoza.

Her funeral service, visitation and Eastern Star tribute were held on Monday, July 29 in Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick.
