Local student graduates from Carter School

The Carter School at Meeting Street is pleased to announce that Cranston resident Mariam Eletu has graduated from the high school program.

Donning a blue cap and gown, Mariam received her diploma from Anne Bouchard, Special Education Administrator at Cranston Public Schools, and Margaret Knowlton, Director of School Age Programs at Meeting Street. The event was emceed by WPRI 12 news anchor Mike Montecalvo.

The Carter School, Meeting Street’s middle and high school program for students with special needs, features an innovative approach to education that extends far beyond the classroom door. Its programs support education, vocational opportunities, and recreational and social activities tailored to each student's specific interests and abilities.
