Oak Lawn Community Baptist Church, 229 Wilbur Ave., Cranston, Home of the Original May Breakfast, will hold its 151st Annual May Breakfast on May 1 from 6-11 a.m. The church’s May Breakfast was featured in the 2007 edition of “1,000 Places To See Before You Die” by Patricia Schultz, as well as in the “Rituals of Spring” in the March/April 2011 issue of Yankee Magazine. Traditional menu includes clam cakes, scrambled eggs, ham, cornbread, coffee, juice and apple pie. Tickets are available at the door: $8 for adults and $4 for children 10 and under. People will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis. Visit the sales downstairs, including plants, white elephant (collectibles, attic treasures, etc.), baked goods, handmade May baskets and homemade fudge. Foster Center Baptist Church is hosting their 66th annual May Breakfast off Rt. 94 in Foster May 1 from 6:30-10 a.m. Adults $8, children 6-12 $4, 5 years and under are free. Johnnycakes, bacon, eggs, toast coffee, juice and homemade pie for dessert. Check out the “gift boutique” to find a thoughtful May Day or Mother’s Day gift.

Warwick Central Baptist Church, 3270 Post Road, is having their 43rd annual May Breakfast May 5 from 7-11 a.m. featuring fruit salad, scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, ham, homefries, baked beans, muffins, cereal, coffee, tea, milk and juice. Adults $8, children 5-12 $4, under 5 free. May baskets will be available.

First Baptist Church, corner of Peirce & Montrose Street, East Greenwich, is holding their 48th Annual May Breakfast to be held May 5 from 6:30-10 a.m. Enjoy scrambled eggs, ham, bacon, home fries, baked beans, jonnycakes, homemade muffins, yummy pies and coffee. Adults $8, children $4 (under 5 free). Homemade May baskets filled with fudge or flowers will be available to purchase. For more information or to purchase tickets contact the church at 884-2322.

Phillips Memorial Baptist Church, 565 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston, is having their May Breakfast May 5 from 7-10 a.m. The church is handicapped accessible. Cost is $8 for adults, $4 children (8 and under free). Menu traditional RI johnny cakes, scrambled eggs, baked beans, ham, fruit pie, juice, coffee and tea and beautiful handmade. May baskets $5 filled with delicious homemade cookies, fudge and candy will be on sale.

Norwood Baptist Church, 48 Budlong Ave., Warwick, is holding their 93rd annual May Breakfast to be held May 5 from 7-10 a.m. served by wait staff. The menu will include eggs cooked to order, bacon or ham, home fries, and much more. Ticket prices are $9 for adults, $5 for children ages 5-12 years, children 5 and under are guests. Greenwood Community Church, 805 Main Ave., Warwick, will be serving their annual May breakfast May 5 from 7:30-11:30 a.m. The menu includes scrambled eggs, ham, pancakes, baked beans, assorted juices, cold cereals, home baked coffee cakes, muffins, breads, apple pie, coffee, tea and milk. Also available for purchase are table centerpieces, children’s baskets and their famous May Baskets filled with homemade fudge, cookies and plants. The Holy Name Society at St. Anthony Church in North Providence will hold its annual May Breakfast May 5 from 8-11 a.m. in the St. Anthony Church Parish Center located at 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue. The breakfast will feature scrambled eggs, home fries, sliced ham, bacon, baked beans, breakfast pastries, orange juice, coffee and tea. Cost is $8 per person, 2 for $15, children 7 years old and under will eat for free. Tickets will be sold at the door or by contacting Alfred De Cubellis at 692-0002 or John Baxter at 258-6602.

Defenders of Animals, Inc. is holding a May Breakfast at 10 a.m. May 6 at Governor Sprague Mansion, 1351 Cranston St., Cranston. Cost is $25 per person and includes pancakes, waffles, home fries, fruit salad, bagels, mini pastries, Boca breakfast links, coffee, tea and more. Call Defenders of Animals, Inc. at 461-1922 for reservations. All net profits are used for emergency animal medical care and spaying/neutering for dogs and cats.

Edgewood Congregational Church, 1788 Broad Street, Cranston, is having its annual traditional New England May Breakfast May 12 from 7-11 a.m. All you can eat menu items include eggs, sausage, pancakes, johnnycakes, baked beans, potato casserole, home fries, muffins, fresh fruit salad, assorted pies and beverages. Adults $8.50; children $5, under 3 free. Shop for Mother’s Day; they will have items for sale such as plants, spring flowers, gifts, candy, baked goods, books, and collectibles. Reservations accepted by calling 461-1344 or purchase tickets at the door.
