Memorial Day presentation

Tuesday, May 28 at 10:30 a.m.“Kitchen Yarns: Notes on Life, Love and Food” by Ann Hood

The author shares recipes that shaped her and the poignant life lessons about loss, love and friendship she learned in the kitchen.

Mindful Meditation & Relaxation

Facilitator Shahnee Lagor will offer participants an opportunity to escape the stress of everyday life and learn techniques to feel rejuvenated. She will use guided imagery, breathing, music and progressive muscle relaxation. To sign up, call 780-6000.

Proper Posture & Exercise

Wednesday, May 29 at 10 a.m.Presenter: John Garlick, Pappas Physical & Hand Therapy

Poor posture that is not corrected by posture exercise can lead to pain in many areas of the body. When poor posture is left uncorrected for a prolonged period, structural changes can occur. Muscles can shorten and become weak. At this presentation, participants will learn the types of exercises that will help maintain proper posture.
