Diabetes Support Group: Eye Care

The potential for complications related to the eye is very real and serious for people with diabetes. At this presentation, you will learn about preventing and treating eye diseases.

URI SNAP Outreach Clinic

Thursday, Feb. 14, 10 a.m. to noonHaving questions or concerns regarding your SNAP benefits? Want to know if you are eligible for more benefits? This clinic is for you. It is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Bone Builders of RI: Promoting Bone Health and Well Being

Mondays 1-2 p.m., Thursdays 9-10 a.m.Suggested donation: $2Bone Builders is an innovative exercise program whose research has shown that moderate free-weight training performed at least twice a week for six months can improve strength and balance, and increase energy levels, while increasing bone density. Volunteers needed

Volunteers are needed to assist eligible and qualified applicants in completing the Rhode Island Property Tax Relief Claim Form (RI 1040-H) for the coming tax season. Training will be provided. If you are interested, contact the center’s RSVP office at 780-6159.

Transvan

As the weather changes and the snow piles get higher, the center’s Transvan can help seniors with errands. A one-month pass costs $25. For more information, call 780-6218 or 943-3341.

Gift shop

Need a card? Forgot a birthday? Visit the center’s gift shop for all your gift needs. Open Monday through Friday, 9-11:30 a.m. and 12:30-1:30 p.m.
