Paws visits Waterman

A WHOLE CLASS PHOTO: The students at Daniel D. Waterman Elementary School were excited to meet Paws, the polar bear mascot for the PawSox, and to hear a story about him. They could not wait to have a whole class photo taken with him.

LISTENING CLOSELY: Paws listens carefully as “The Adventures of Paws and Sox” was read aloud. The students enjoyed hearing the story and learning about things such as when Paws’ birthday is (April, at the start of baseball season) and what he likes to eat (salmon).

Paws, a polar bear, was accompanied by several representatives from the PawSox, and he sat as the story “The Adventures of Paws and Sox,” chronicling his and co-mascot Sox’s North Pole adventures, was read aloud.

Following the reading, the young students asked questions about Paws and Sox, and took a class photo with Paws.
