The kindergarten students at Daniel D. Waterman Elementary School had a treat last week when Paws, one of the Pawtucket Red Sox mascots, visited their classroom during Reading Week as part of their guest reader festivities.
Paws, a polar bear, was accompanied by several representatives from the PawSox, and he sat as the story “The Adventures of Paws and Sox,” chronicling his and co-mascot Sox’s North Pole adventures, was read aloud.
Following the reading, the young students asked questions about Paws and Sox, and took a class photo with Paws.
