ASSAULT

On Jan. 8 at 10:26 a.m., police arrested Angel Liriano Jr., 29, 339 Farmington Ave., Cranston, on charges of domestic simple assault, domestic vandalism and domestic disorderly conduct.

On Jan. 11 at approximately 11:23 p.m., police arrested Carey Fudge, 38, 1659 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, on a charge of assault on persons over 60/bodily injury. Police say the arrest was the result of an arrest and affidavit warrant pickup attempt by Warwick Police.

BREAKING AND ENTERING

On Jan. 11 at 1:41 p.m., police arrested William W. Phipps, 57, 575 Dyer Ave., Cranston, on a charge of breaking and entering. Police say Phipps turned himself in at the department’s headquarters.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

On Jan. 9 at approximately 4:44 p.m., police arrested Eric Robichaud, 35, 118 Pine St., Rehoboth, Massachusetts, on charges of driving under the influence, refusal to submit to a chemical test and possession of a controlled substance. Police say Robichard was arrested after a motor vehicle stop in the area of 816 Park Ave.

On Jan. 11 at approximately 8:54 p.m., police arrested Isaias Tino Morales, 32, 77 Wallace St., Providence, on charges of driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a chemical test. Police say Morales was arrested after a motor vehicle stop in the area of Park and Palmer avenues.

EXPIRED LICENSE

On Jan. 12 at approximately 10:29 a.m., police arrested Jose C. Santos, 31, 154 Julian St., Providence, on charges of driving without/expired license, third or subsequent offense. Police say Santos was arrested after a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Park and Doric avenues. Santos was issued a summons to appear in Third District Court.

LARCENY

On Jan. 12 at 1:34 p.m., police arrested Luis Angel Negron, 35, 412 Hartford Ave., Providence, on a charge of larceny of a package from a porch.

OBSTRUCTION

On Jan. 10 at approximately 4:29 p.m., police arrested George Charland, 34, 102 Daboll St., Apt. 2, Providence, on charges of obstruction of justice and driving with a suspended license. He was additionally taken into custody on a bench warrant issued from Superior Court. Police say Charland was arrested after a motor vehicle stop in the area of 86 Garfield Ave.

DRUG CHARGES

On Jan. 9 at 6:34 a.m., police arrested Herman W. Pugh, 73, 262 Smith St., Cranston on charges of manufacturing/possession/delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of firearms by a convicted felon, use of a firearm while committing a crime of violence and maintaining a common nuisance/controlled substances. Police say Pugh was arrested at his residence following the execution of a search warrant.

On Jan. 9 at 6:01 p.m., police arrested Andy J. Melgar, 21, 36 Miller Ave., Apt. 3, Providence, on four counts of manufacturing/possession/delivery of a controlled substance, two counts of reckless driving/drag racing/eluding police and one count of driving after denial, suspension or revocation of license. He was additionally taken into custody on two active arrest warrants. Police say Melgar was arrested at Knightsville Manor, 85 Briggs St., as a result of a narcotics investigation.

On Jan. 11 at approximately 5:29 p.m., police arrested Joseph Hanley, 38, 880 Charles St., North Providence, on charges of possession of a controlled substance and driving without/expired license. Police say the arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Elmwood Avenue and Fenner Street.

On Jan. 11 at approximately 8:37 p.m., police arrested Michael Martins, 32, 34 Broom St., Providence, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. Police say the arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of 393 Webster Ave. 

On Jan. 13 at 1 a.m., police arrested Kate Fermi, 43, 10 McConnell Court, North Kingstown, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. Police say Fermi was arrested after a motor vehicle stop on Garfield Avenue near the Route 10 on-ramp.

SHOPLIFTING

On Jan. 8 at 11:45 a.m., police arrested Amanda Verria, 33, 148 Putnam St., Providence, on charges of shoplifting and conspiracy. Police say Verria was arrested after officers responded to a call from Job Lot at 1441 Elmwood Ave.

On Jan. 10 at approximately 6:23 p.m., police arrested Jean Pedraza-Lacen, no address listed, on charges of shoplifting, conspiracy, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Police say Pedraza-Lacen was arrested after officers responded to a call from Shaw’s at 8 Chapel View Boulevard.

WARRANTS

On Jan. 10 at 12:30 p.m., police took John Rivera, 54, 460 Pine St., Providence, into custody on bench warrants issued from Superior Court and Sixth District Court. Police say Rivera was arrested after a motor vehicle stop on Garfield Avenue.

On Jan. 10 at approximately 7:31 p.m., police took Matthew Harvey, 34, 151 Franklin Ave., Apt. 11, Cranston, into custody on a bench warrant issued from Superior Court. Police say Harvey was arrested after being observed by officers in the area of Webster Avenue.

On Jan. 11 at 7:33 p.m., police took Robert Path, 53, 30 Howard Ave., Cranston into custody on an arrest warrant issued from Providence Police. Police say Path was arrested on Howard Avenue and transferred to the custody of Providence Police.

On Jan. 11 at approximately 8:36 p.m., police took Nicholas Tavarozzi, 19, 529 Dexter St., Apt. 6, Central Falls, into custody on an arrest warrant issued from Central Falls Police. Police say Tavarozzi was arrested after a motor vehicle stop near Plainfield Street and Fletcher Avenue and was transferred to the custody of Central Falls Police.

On Jan. 12 at 10:14 a.m., police took Anthony Arena, 32, 38 Woodland Court, Lincoln, into custody on a bench warrant issued from Superior Court. Police say Arena was arrested after a motor vehicle stop at the Route 10/I-95 interchange.

On Jan. 12 at 11:23 p.m., officers took Sugeilly Santiago, 29, 130 Sisson St., Apt. 2, Providence, into custody on a bench warrant issued from Superior Court. Police say Santiago was arrested after a motor vehicle stop near Laurel Hill and Farmington avenues.
